Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you have had a wonderful winter break and have found time to relax. The teachers are ready to get back in to Term 3 and lots of learning!
As you are aware, NSW has had some challenging times with a new outbreak of the Corona Virus. At this point, this will not impact the start of school for Term 3 for Balgownie PS. All students are expected to be back at school on Tuesday 21st July.
Arrival and pick up procedures will remain the same as they were at the end of Term 2. Unfortunately there will be no parents permitted on site, and we ask that you support the staff and your children in following this advice from the Department of Health and the Department of Education.
I will be providing a newsletter in Week 1 of term, for our families. This will have further information regarding school procedures and processes and what is happening for Term 3.
As per last term, there will be teachers at the Balgownie Road gate every morning, and teachers at all gates in the afternoon. Like last term, we hope that you can make arrangements with your children to remain at school until 3pm, while maintaining social distancing for yourselves, perhaps organising a meeting point away from the school entrances.
