On behalf of the staff and school community, I warmly welcome you to Balgownie Public School. This is an exciting time, and we are committed to supporting your family throughout the transition into school life.

Over the coming months, we will be running a series of preparation activities designed to help your child feel comfortable and confident as they get ready for Kindergarten. These sessions provide wonderful opportunities to connect with other students, meet teachers, become familiar with our school, and explore the fun learning that awaits. We encourage you and your child to join us. Some activities include:

Throughout the next few months, we will also provide resources and helpful tips for families to support your child at home as they get ready for school.

We are pleased to have a valued parent member of our school community as our Kindergarten 2027 Coordinator. Having navigated the transition to school with their own child, they understand the questions and challenges new families may face. Support and helpful advice will be available as you prepare for your child’s start at school. Families will be warmly welcomed at the Playgroup in the Park.
